Well, its well past time that we started the club drum thumping again and launched our second contest. Hopefully we've given you all sufficient time to rest and recover your creativity enough to be able to participate in the followup to our club's most successful contest EVER!

-= Design An Effect for Wildcard =-

Well the contest name says it all, but there are a few things to keep in mind while you're doing it. As you know, Wildcard is the erratic, and somewhat unpredictable signature weapon of our favourite Questor, each swing of the charged blade produces a new effect some cool ... some useful, and some ridiculous.

This is a primarily written task, but it is going to be graded more on creativity than skill so that we can have a more level playing field for all members of both the club and the forums.

-=Contest Guidelines=-

What we're asking is for you to compose a short written work that describes a new effect for the Purple Pigsticker. You can include a description of the circumstances surrounding the swing to aid us, but we will be primarily looking at the effect itself. Note that we are not limiting you to any one scene or type of effect.

What we are looking for is a description of a new and original effect, one that is well written and visualy descriptive enough to have a picture made from it. These will form the basis of our judgements; Originality, Visual Acuity (how easy it is to visualise), and the effort that has been put into the writing.

Now, we also request that you submit a Biography-style summary of the power as soon as you think it up. Submissions of ideas will be done on a "First come - First Reserved" basis to prevent copying, so sumbit early people.

The FINAL sumbission, however, is free form and can be done progressivly after you finish the biography. ENTRIES WILL NOT BE FINAL UNTIL THE CLOSING DATE. which means you can resumbit with additions, corrections and changes right up until the contest closes.

We are also opening this contest to the formus, entries for the Bio's should be sumbitted there.

FINAL sumbissions of the effect however, should be submitted to the Club's email account; talesofthequestor@hotmail.com.

The contest will open with the creation of a new topic in the forums that will be where we ask for the bios to be submitted. This will be done in the next 24 hours.

The contest will be run for 3 weeks, with the closing date approximately November 26th 11:59pm.

Well, so far, you'll notice i havnt mentioned diddly about why we were forcing you guys to do this ... i assure you, this is purely to maintain the suspense. The effect which is judged the winner will be made into a picture and then submitted to the club gallery.
